about tonight

tonight answers one question quickly: what should I watch tonight? It learns your film and TV taste and picks three things that are actually available on the streaming services you have in the UK.

It's a modern take on the idea behind Synapse, the media player Mark Zuckerberg built as a teenager that learned your listening habits. Same spirit, pointed at what you watch.

how it works

Every title comes from TMDB, never from guesswork, so everything you're shown is real and available on your services. tonight pulls a pool of candidates, drops anything you've rated or already been shown, then ranks the rest against your taste profile and the mood you type. Each reaction you give updates your profile, and you can edit it any time under my taste.

Your ratings are tied to an anonymous cookie, or to your account if you create one so your taste follows you between devices. There are no ads, and you can delete everything from my taste at any time.

This website uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.

Streaming availability data is provided by JustWatch.
